SAFE CLEAN WATER
On-Demand Electrolytic HOCl
REAL WORLD PROOF: Evaluation of an Oxidative Biocide During and After a Hydraulic Fracturing Job in the Marcellus Shale, by Schlumberger
Fracking is water-intensive. Biocides like glutaraldehyde and quats are toxic and dangerous. Break the unsustainable cycle and switch to a smart solution.
Highly effective in removing biofilm and SRB’s
Low operating costs, real ROI
Neutral pH is non-corrosive, won’t harm equipment
Eco-friendly, no harsh chemicals, alcohol, fumes, or VOC’s
Non-irritating, no PPE necessary
Frack Water: 995-5 dilution for 0.1-0.5 ppm dilution to prevent unwanted bacteria
Sour Wells: 168 gallon slug dose, monthly or weekly, to eliminate hydrogen sulfide from SRB’s and restore well integrity
Produced Waters: 979-21 dilution for 10.5 ppm in flow back to prevent unwanted bacteria
Heater Treaters, Hydrocarbon Storage Facilities & Gas Storage Wells: 126 gallons slug, or enough to reach 0.5 ppm residual HOCl into the water phase of the mixed hydrocarbon/water system to prevent the growth of bacteria, control the formation of hydrogen sulfide, and reduce corrosion.
Pipeline Water Flood Injection: 979-21 gallon dilution with injection water to 10.5 ppm HOCl or alternatively achieve a 0.1-0.5 ppm HOCl residual to retard the growth of microorganisms and control slime and corrosion in pipelines.
-
A low dose of Electrolytic Hypochlorous Acid (eHOCl) in frac water eliminated any detectable bacteria flowback water for the entirety of the test timeline, which was 81 days.
-
In laboratory testing, the eHOCl biocide showed faster action than glutaraldehyde, a non-oxidizing biocide. In the field test, the treatment was shown to have adequate persistence.
-
The laboratory evaluation of this eHOCl biocide demonstrates negligible corrosion on typical metals used in oilfield surface equipment and tubular goods.
-
This eHOCl biocide is compatible with both slickwater and guar-based fracturing fluid formulations.
-
The eHOCl biocide is added to the fracturing fluid in a form which is not a wellsite hazard in terms of health, biodegradability, and toxicity.
