2004-2014
Donald J. Wagner II (Donnie) was a founding member and inventor of the novel silicon-based antimicrobial polymer known as BIOSAFE®. Donald also played a pivotal role in its scaling, commercialization, and navigating regulatory approvals through EPA, FDA, and NSF.
2014-2019
He formed a strategic partnership with Gelest, Inc. in 2014, who eventually acquired the BIOSAFE in 2016. Donald was brought into Gelest to serve as the technical expert and regulatory liaison as the Antimicrobial Market Manager for Gelest (a New Mountain Captial Company acquired by Mitsubishi Chemical in 2020).
2019 - Current
In 2019 Donnie started his own company, ECHO SCIENTIFIC, a firm that helps formulate, test, verify, and validates performance, navigates regulatory, and scales production to grow client businesses. ECHO SCIENTIFIC has now productized its efforts and partnered with industry experts to solve problems with unique electrolytic zeolites and hypochlorous acid chemistry. ECHO SCIENTIFIC leverages a network of manufacturers, laboratories, regulatory experts, and distribution channels to deliver game changing solutions to customers and has delved into the realm of acidified mineral microparticles, leaning on decades of silicon chemistry experience. The potential of acidified prehydrated microparticles (PMPs) in Healthcare, Food Processing, Agriculture, and Oil & Gas industries is exponential.
Donnie graduated from Virginia Polytechnic and State University 2001.
